Maria Nicole Wellness recognizes that health-related information is particularly personal.
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes how Maria Nicole Wellness collects, uses, shares, and protects consumer health data and explains the choices and rights that may be available to consumers under applicable law.
This policy is separate from our general Privacy Policy.
What We Mean by Consumer Health Data

As of the effective date of this policy, Maria Nicole Wellness does not have corporate affiliates with which it shares consumer health data.
Sale of Consumer Health Data
Maria Nicole Wellness does not sell consumer health data.
We do not exchange your consumer health data for money.
If our practices change in a way that would legally constitute a sale requiring authorization, we will obtain the authorization required by applicable law before doing so.
Targeted Advertising
Maria Nicole Wellness does not intentionally provide client laboratory results, health histories, or detailed wellness records to advertising networks for targeted advertising.
General website analytics may involve technical information such as page views, browser information, or device information as explained in the general Privacy Policy.
Geofencing
Maria Nicole Wellness does not use geofencing technology around healthcare facilities for the purpose of identifying, tracking, collecting data from, or sending health-related advertising to individuals seeking healthcare services.
How Consumer Health Data Is Processed
Consumer health data may be:

- stored within client or business systems
- reviewed by Maria Nicole Wellness in connection with requested services
- transmitted to laboratories or service providers when needed to provide requested services
- maintained in digital records
- processed by contracted service providers acting on behalf of Maria Nicole Wellness

Consumer Health Data Request
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect your information from unauthorized access.
Where required by applicable law, we will respond within the legally required period.
Deletion Requests
If you request deletion and the request is valid under applicable law, we will take the steps required by applicable law to delete applicable consumer health data from our systems and notify relevant processors, contractors, or third parties when required.
Deletion may be subject to lawful exceptions, including information we are permitted or required to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, contractual, tax, accounting, or other authorized purposes.
Backup or archived information may require additional time to delete where applicable law permits.

Security
Because health information is sensitive, Maria Nicole Wellness takes reasonable measures appropriate to the nature and volume of the information to protect its confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility.
No electronic system is completely secure, however.
When we provide a secure method for submitting intake forms, laboratory reports, or other sensitive documents, please use that method instead of ordinary email whenever possible.
Third-Party Data Collection
Third-party website or technology providers may collect general technical or usage information when you visit the public website, as described in our general Privacy Policy.
Maria Nicole Wellness does not intentionally authorize third parties to collect detailed client health records across unrelated websites for behavioral advertising.
Material Changes
If we materially change the categories of consumer health data we collect, the purposes for which we use it, or the parties with whom we share it, we will update this policy and obtain additional consent when required by applicable law.
